Glick Fire is hosting a live Pierce Ascendant demo

Did you miss attending FDIC this year? If you did, you may have missed some big announcements coming from Pierce Mfg. Pierce has announced the new Ascendant aerial ladder. This new type of aerial offers 107′ vertical reach with 100′ horizontal reach on a single rear axle. Features for this aerial include a 750 lb dry tip load, or 500 lbs wet, a flow rate of 1,500 gpm and a 500 gallon water tank capacity. All of this on a single set of rear outriggers with one downrigger offer stability in winds up to 35 mph and 1/4 inch of ice.

We will have this new aerial on display at the upcoming PA Fire Expo 2015 with a few limited live demos throughout our territory. One scheduled demo event will take place Tuesday, May 19th at Carlisle Fire & Rescue.
