Glick Fire Equipment was formed and started in November 1987, as a Fire Apparatus Dealer for a major manufacturer in Central Pennsylvania, in David & Sue Glick's living room. During the next three years, the business expanded into their basement and eventually into the dining room. Near the end of 1990, a two-story office building was built on Airport Drive in Smoketown. A 2-bay service facility and one mobile service service truck were fully operational within the first year. Soon afterwards, the service department expanded into four bays and an 1,800 square foot parts department was added.

Glick Fire Equipment continued steady growth during the first twelve years, and after achieving the opportunity to become the local sales and service dealership for Pierce Manufacturing in June 1998, Glick Fire Equipment built a larger facility at the east end of the Smoketown airport in October 1999. The current location now incorporates nine service bays, a fabrication area, a large parts inventory area, and an attached office area. The sales force was located throughout Central and Eastern PA to make sure fire department's and customers received the prompt service and attention they deserved.

Beginning in November 2001, Glick Fire Equipment again was given the opportunity to grow with Pierce Manufacturing, this time in the western section of Pennsylvania. The Cranberry Township location was opened and served 22 counties with sales, service & parts. Further growth and greater services allowed Glick Fire Equipment to expand and move into their new Zelienople, PA facility in November of 2005.

On December 31, 2007; Dave and Sue passed the ownership of the business onto their children, Jodi, Amy, and Doug. Even though semi-retired, Dave remains an active member of Glick Fire Equipment and participates in many of the functions that made it successful today. Sue continues to be an a member in the accounting department and plays a major role in all of the day to day accounting activities.

Glick Fire Equipment started out and remains today a "family-owned and operated business" and employs 57 customer service, sales, parts, and administrative personnel. Because of you the CUSTOMER, we are who we are today. ....THANK YOU!
